WIMMERA PARK LIFE WORKSHOPS AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

Our skate park culture is documented by the wood, peddle and plank pushers themselves, through short films and photography. This is a HRAG exhibition produced in partnership with ABC Open.
Do you have some great photos of you and your mates at the skate park? Do you want to improve your photography skills? Like making films? workshop for children aged 10 - 14 years using the sun to make solar prints. Decorate a flag using found objects and sun dyes, and print your own designs onto sun sensitive paper.
Work with Melissa Powell will be at the skate park from 6 - 8.30pm January 8, 10 & 15. Melissa can give you tips from a professional photographer and there will be someone there to collect your photographs to go in the exhibition. Photographers interested in being one of three main exhibitors should turn up to these sessions and will be selected to participate in more intensive workshops to develop their work.
Larissa Romensky from ABC Online will give free film making workshops to produce a short film for the exhibition. Contact Larissa on abcopen.wimmera@abc.net.au or phone 5381 5341.
